Dr. Sides Earns Certificate of Added Qualification from American
Board of Radiology
Concord Imaging Center is pleased to announce that one of their physicians, Dr. Corey
N. Sides, has earned the Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) from the American
Board of Radiology (ABR).

The CAQ is a subspecialty certificate issued by the ABR following 1-2 years of
additional fellowship training and completion of an oral exam. There are currently
three subspecialties within radiology that have a CAQ available: pediatric radiology,
interventional radiology, and Dr. Sides' subspecialty, neuroradiology.

According to the ABR, "Oral examinations are conducted to ascertain the
qualification of diagnostic radiologists who have studied neuroradiology. A board-
certified neuroradiologist is one who has demonstrated knowledge, problem-solving,
and application of those skills to a degree worthy of the public's and the profession's
trust. This is someone deemed capable of working in various sectors of the field
safely and effectively."

accomplishment. This added credential from the ABR demonstrates an achievement
of a prescribed level of excellence and the ability to meet performance standards
within our profession."
